Had a gutful yet?
Jacqui Lambie’s emotional outburst — no not that one, the other one! No, not that other one — oh forget it.

Lambie’s latest outburst: a hail Mary or a turning point?
Jacqui Lambie’s tearful on-air confrontation over Coalition cuts and veterans’ welfare may have looked spontaneous, but politically, it felt like a moment she needed. With her Senate seat under serious threat and polling showing softening support in parts of her North-West stronghold, Lambie is on the back foot, squeezed between a resurgent Liberal base and a growing number of independents who actually make sense.
The emotion was real. But the timing? Strategic.
This outburst gave her national airtime, sharp contrast with Peter Dutton, and a moment that may cut through with voters who still see her as a battler, even if they’re growing weary of the combat.
But if this is a rebrand attempt, it needs follow-up. A clear agenda. A reason to believe she can deliver results, not just outrage. And not just ramblings from the top of her head.
Because right now, Lambie is caught in a dangerous political space: too anti-Labor for progressives, too unreliable for conservatives, and too loud for moderates. And too difficult to follow.
To quote Senator Jane Hume in this morning’s exchange, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Increasingly, neither do we.
